When we approach the nature in a serious mood, its necessary to be able to understand it well i.e. classifying the animals by knowing
their common and scientific names in order to keep a running account of local floras and faunas.
Even though it’s a challenge to spot a Great Eagle soar across the sky or to come upon a pride of lions resting in thorn bush,
also its very interesting to tell about their ecology, habitat, food, enemies and its migratory pathways.
Last stage is to know about their behavior. This includes social organization on how they select their habitat, search for prey, and avoid enemies.
If you know an animal’s behavior well, you know its essence. To add to that, the more people get to understand about the animal’s behavior, the more likely the environment is to be saved.
Most of the animals found in Africa can be available in East Africa. They include ungulates or hoofed mammals , carnivores and primates .
